The digitalization of physical products through AM opens the supply chain to entirely new threats: those of cybersecurity.

  • We will present a framework and series of standards that can be used to maintain the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of data, networks and systems (the “CIA Triad”) to manage these risks. Learn about the unique challenges facing various public sector entities globally vs. private sector manufacturers and discuss how policy gaps can be addressed to improve AM cyber-risk.
  • Potential solutions will be explored such as public key encryption; creating traceability through watermarking; using existing technologies to limit printing to authorized, approved objects; development of AM file standards; and protection across the digital thread.
