Dr. Edward C. De Meter is a Professor of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering and Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering. Dr. De Meter’s research interests are in the areas of manufacturing technology, manufacturing analysis, computer aided manufacturing, and metrology. He is the inventor of Photo-Activated Adhesive Workholding (PAAW) and co-owner of Blue Photon Technology & Workholding Systems LLC. His current research interests are the post processing, metrology, and design of parts originated via additive manufacturing processes. His research has been funded by organizations such as: MT-AMRI, NSF, Kodak, Caterpillar, GM, Lamb Technicon/NIST ATP, Advanced Drive Train Center, and the Office of Naval Research . His teaching interests are manufacturing processes, production engineering, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and mechanical systems analysis.
