Ames Laboratory of USDOE
Dr. Emma M. H. White is an associate scientist at the US Department of Energy’s Ames Laboratory. She has focused primarily on powder metallurgy with an emphasis on materials for energy applications in her research, including additive manufacturing feedstocks, advanced lithium ion batteries, high energy density non-rare earth magnets and porous high temperature turbine blade coatings for transpirational cooling. Dr. White obtained her B.S. in Materials Engineering (2009) and her PhD in Materials Science & Engineering at Iowa State University and Ames Laboratory (2014).
