ADIRA Metal-Forming Solutions S.A.
Filipe Coutinho is a MEng graduate from the Mechanical Engineering course at FEUP (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto), having developed his Master’s thesis in cooperation with the portuguese industrial machinery manufacturer ADIRA. His thesis was based on the study and development of a metal additive manufacturing equipment, from concept development up to its materialization and mechanical design. The project was undertaken in cooperation with several experienced industrial and academic partners and has seen continuous development since then, originating a disruptive and innovative technological concept, which provides new industrial applicability and approaches the industrial and research branches of modern day engineering. As the corporate focal point for consortium-based initiatives, under the scope of AM-related R&D technological projects, Filipe engaged in a fruitful contact with several international field entities, with the objective of keeping an open mindset and knowledge sharing perspective, following the current technological trends.
