Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Hayeem Rudy is a medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He is developing surgical applications for 3D and holographic technology at Montefiore Medical Center under the mentorship of plastic surgeons, Drs. Oren Tepper and Evan Garfein. In 2016, Hayeem was part of a team led by Dr. Tepper that used 3D modeling and printing to separate a set of conjoined twins who were adjoined at the head. His current research focuses on applying wearable holographic technology to surgery. He also teaches beginner classes in 3D modeling and 3D printing to medical students and faculty at his medical school. In his first year of medical school, Hayeem founded Einstein’s Society with History of Medicine. He then orchestrated a lecture series in the history of medicine in his second year of medical school. Hayeem has spent significant time volunteering abroad, both as an EMT in Jerusalem and as a hygiene educator in a village outside of Mumbai, India.
