Jolie Frketic is a PhD candidate at Florida State University, in the industrial and manufacturing department at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. She received Florida State University’s Adelaide Wilson fellowship to fund her PhD studies and her research concentrates on additive manufacturing of composites as well as building new robotic printers in order to cut the speed of manufacturing. Prior to this she completed her master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida where she researched the biomechanics of endothelial cells in 3D collagen networks. She obtained her Bachelors degree with Honors, at Florida State University in Mechanical Engineering, where she researched structural health monitoring of composite systems using triboluminescent sensors.
