Kevin Cable is a polymer applications engineer in Eastman Chemical Company’s Polymer Technology Division. He has worked in the thermoplastic polymer industry since 1996. Over his career he has served in variety of roles: applications development, analytical polymer science, and Six Sigma Black Belt. Kevin joined Eastman in 2011. He has been involved in Eastman’s 3D printing effort since its inception. Kevin served as the technical lead for the first Amphora 3D polymer commercialization. He has worked with many desktop 3D printers (several built from kits), and has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. More recently, Kevin has been involved in the effort to apply Eastman’s thermoplastics to large scale additive manufacturing. Kevin has a BS in chemistry from Western Carolina University and a PhD in polymer science from the University of Southern Mississippi. Kevin lives in Kingsport, Tennessee.
