Lien Chin Wei (William) is a PhD student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) since Fall 2013. William graduated from National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan in 2005 with BS in Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, William attained the MS program of Mechanical Engineering in National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan and graduated in 2007. His MS research focused on Forced Convective Cooling Performance of a Microchannel Heat Sink with Al2O3/Water Nanofluid. Before coming to Carnegie Mellon University he worked in the department of Thin Film for optimization of the quality of the equipment at Fab 14, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company from 2008 to 2011. Before joining CMU, William volunteered in a non-profit Christian work in Taiwan. Through William’s PhD, William’s research focus on nano/micro thermal transport related to additive-manufacturing products and processes.
