Ria Laureijs is a current doctoral student in Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research focuses on the challenges faced by firms in high-variety advanced manufacturing environments. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, she consulted for the technology arm of RTI International Metals (now Alcoa Titanium and Engineered Products) and worked at the RAND Corporation performing cost analysis. She has a MS in Engineering and Technology Innovation Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Biological Chemistry from Grinnell College.
