Mr. Trevor Hicks is an Advisor Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the Welding Engineering group at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. He has specialized in the welding of stainless steels and nickel alloys, mechanized and automatic welding technologies, weld residual stresses, and the welding and metallurgy of hardfacing materials. Mr. Hicks has been actively involved in the assessment of additive manufacturing technologies for performance-critical applications, concentrating specifically on the qualification requirements necessary to allay concerns regarding the variability inherent in additively manufactured parts. Mr. Hicks has a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida and an MS in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
