Maj. Gen. Darren L. Werner

Commanding General

Keynote panelist, Major General Darren L. Werner, Commanding General for the US Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), and a panel of experts from the Department of Defense (DoD) and Industry will discuss how metal Additive Manufacturing (AM), particularly large-scale metal AM, may affect supply chain resilience and readiness. Panelists will cover topics related to AM capabilities within the U.S. Army’s Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AdvMCoE), including the development and operation of the Jointless Hull Tools, as well as other AM innovations within the supply chain. The Jointless Hull Tools include multiple large-scale metal hybrid manufacturing systems, one of which has a build volume of over 30ft x 20ft x 12ft and is located at the Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
