Hospital-based 3D printing is increasing the ability of clinicians to educate, plan and treat patients.  The use of 3D printing allows the creation of patient-matched models, guides, and devices to be manufactured within a hospital setting.  This panel will walk through the critical steps to create a 3D printing lab and the many ways it can be used.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the movement toward 3D printing in hospitals including applications, reimbursement and regulatory implications
  • Dive deeper into the basics of starting a hospital-based 3D printing lab
  • Discuss the various software and hardware tools in addition to successful workflows for hospital-based labs
