Growing spare part portfolios of multiple 100,000 parts, increased competitive pressure, new regulatory requirements and increasing need for operational excellence. There are many trigger points for organizations to start investigating AM as a viable manufacturing technology, still, many organizations struggle with developing their initial AM strategy.

To help gain clarification within this crucial step, this workshop will guide participants through an impact analysis of AM on their organizations value chain verticals. From there on, we will teach methodologies on how to screen large part portfolios for AM suitability, based on economic and technological assessments and talk about how to utilize agile tools for the redesign of parts.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand and prioritize the impacts of AM on each vertical of your value chain
  • Learn and apply the "part screening & selection" methodology used to screen parts and dozens of organizations
  • Use agile tools such as the "application sprint" to redesign applications for impact and production
