As a student, specifically a music major, and musician in my spare time, I have noticed that it is becoming increasingly difficult for music programs in both colleges and primary schools to receive funding to buy good musical equipment, without completely blowing through their allowed funds. Not only is that an issue, but as a rising producer and singer/songwriter, I find it difficult to find good quality and cheap equipment to record, mix, and produce tracks. This is why I am submitting this abstract because 3D printing is used in the industry to fix small parts and pieces, but what if instead if just making parts, you could make the actual equipment? If we were to make the actual equipment, like; soundboards, mixers, speakers, etc. with the same quality, durability, and consistency as the equipment we already have, we could cut the costs of the products without losing any profit and so that students and musicians can afford them without having to use all of their money to afford what they want.
