Rationalization for the Utilization of Various AM Technologies in Healthcare Applications

Join us for a discussion on how different AM technologies can be meaningfully used in healthcare. First, clinical applications for surgical use will be explored where patient-matched anatomic models, guides and implants will be discussed. Second, educational applications for simulation, improved patient understanding and informed consent and medical team task training will be covered. Third, research applications will be reviewed with highlights on medical device testing, experimental equipment fabrication and bio-printing. We look forward to sharing a novice-level overview of the different types of AM technologies and how they can be selected for use in healthcare applications.
