With over two decades of experience in materials science and over ten years in the additive manufacturing sector, Andy Shives brings a wealth of expertise to the field of metal additive powders. He began his career as a product manager specializing in metal additive, working with equipment OEMs and leading users to develop parameter sets and tailored powder solutions that facilitate the transition from prototypes to full-scale production. Andy currently serves as the commercial leader at Linde Advanced Material Technologies for powders used in additive manufacturing (AM), hot isostatic pressing (HIP), metal injection molding (MIM), and thermal spray markets. He also oversees ceramics and other material product lines. Andy holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in Operations Management and Marketing.
