Jason Harjo is the Design Manager for John Zink Hamworthy Combustion (a Koch Engineered Solutions company) where he is responsible for leading the mechanical design and additive manufacturing teams. Jason has assisted in the technical due diligence of multiple investment appraisals for Koch Disruptive Technologies. He is also a founding member of the Republic of Additive Manufacturing (RoAM) which is a knowledge network for the overall Koch organization. He started his career path in manufacturing of pipeline equipment where he realized a passion for mechanical design utilizing parametric CAD software. After several years in mechanical design his career path shifted once again to a hunger for leadership, innovation, and technology strategies within the realm of mechanical design and manufacturing. Out of these technology strategies naturally immerged additive manufacturing. Overall he has been fervently dedicated to the technology of mechanical design for 19 years, leadership 8 years, and additive manufacturing 5 years. His primary expertise in additive manufacturing is parametric modeling, DFAM, and material extrusion processes both polymer and metal.
