As an engineer with over five years of R&D experience and three years of product development experience within an ISO 13485 quality management system at Seattle Children's Hospital, Jonathan Poii has the unique perspective of someone who has done product development from the white board through the entire design pipeline to clinical implementation. He has published eight papers that span from the bench to the bedside, conducting experiments in a laboratory setting to collecting patient data in clinical trials. He has tested novel respiratory support technologies on in vitro and in vivo models and has a deep knowledge of testing devices for verification and validation. Products he helped bring to patients are the Seattle Children's Halo Traction System and Seattle-PAP, a medical device currently being distributed by Draeger Medical overseas.
