Dr. Kevin Chasse is a Staff Materials and Process Engineer and a MS Technical Fellow at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (Baltimore, MD), supporting programs on metallurgy and corrosion in this capacity. Dr. Chasse has a lead role in developing metallic additive manufacturing (AM) capability in aluminum at Northrop Grumman and has led several related Independent Research and Development (IRAD) projects. He also manages the internal process specification program at Missions Systems. He has authored over 15 peer-reviewed papers on corrosion and/or AM topics. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an MS and PhD, Materials Science and Engineering from Brown University and Georgia Institute of Technology, respectively. He is a member of the ASTM F42 committee on additive manufacturing and has chaired several committees for NACE International on corrosion mechanisms. He also holds an Applied Project Management certification from the University of California – Irvine and is a Certified Associate in Project Management by the Project Management Institute.
