As a Senior Manager for vertical Market Development, Luis is responsible for strategic initiatives to accelerate adoption of HP’s 3D printing technologies across multiple industries. His scope of activities includes working with strategic customers and partners to develop applications and solutions for the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Industrial Equipment sectors. Luis is one of the pioneers of the 3D printing activities in HP, having worked as Chief Engineer for the HP Designjet 3D printer launched in 2010 and as Project Manager for the Multi Jet Fusion customer and technology investigations. After the HP 3D Printing business unit was created in 2015, Luis joined the 3DP Market Development organization to lead strategic alliances and later spearhead the creation of HP’s 3D printing software business group.
Previously Luis held several engineering and management positions at the HP Large Format Printing R&D lab in Barcelona and at the Synopsys ASIC Design Centers in Finland and in the United Kingdom. He holds a BSc degree of Electronics Engineering from University of Brasilia, Brazil and an Innovation Leadership education from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is currently based at the HP office in Vancouver, Washington.
