Dr Martyn Hussey is a Physicist and Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the design and development of novel technologies for commercial electron, ion and plasma systems. Martyn is a founding member of Wayland Additive Ltd, a UK machine manufacturer of electron beam powder bed fusion systems. Since 2016, Martyn has applied his expertise to develop the core technology at the heart of Wayland’s NeuBeam e-beam AM process – the Active Charge Neutralisation system. As Head of New Technologies at Wayland, Martyn’s focus is to develop the next generation of the core systems used in Wayland’s NeuBeam AM process and Calibur3 AM platform.
