Michael Jones Jr, MBA, M.Div hailing from Bridgeport, CT a scholar, theologian and community activist currently residing in Washington, DC. Michael currently serves as the Director, Talent Acquisition and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Xometry Inc. Xometry was founded to streamline custom manufacturing by building a technology-enabled marketplace to connect companies with optimal solutions.
Michael is a graduate of Howard University, Washington, DC and Temple University, Philadelphia. Michael is an ordained reverend and currently serves as the Executive Minister at New Bethel Baptist Church in Washington, DC a 3,000+ member church. He also serves on the Board of Directors, for the Bridgeport, CT Catholic Diosce School systems, sitting on the Enrollment, Governance and Partnership/Marketing committees.
Michael is currently serving as a 2021 - 2022 Black Theology and Leadership Institute Fellow at Princeton Theological Seminary, 2020 - 2021 Emerging Leaders Impact Fund Fellow at the Greater Washington Community Foundation and 2020 Forum for Theological Exploration Fellow. Michael will be joining the 2022 United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, The CSW is the largest gathering of gender equity advocates in the world, joining as a delegate representing The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference.
In his spare time Michael enjoys spending time with family, engaging in conversations around theology and politics as well as being involved in athletics and listening to jazz music specifically the alto saxophone which he played for several years while also enjoys coaching basketball, Michael coaches for the Team Thrill UAA an Under Armour Sponsored basketball program.
