Michael Kenworthy is the Chief Product Officer at Seurat Technologies. Area Printing by Seurat is the next generation of 3D metal printing designed for high-volume, decarbonized industrial production. By decoupling resolution and speed, Seurat is creating a scalable process that can compete with traditional manufacturing in every way. Seurat's pioneering approach was originally developed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and has over 275 patents and trademarks granted and pending, including an exclusive license to the Optically Addressable Light Valve (OALV) technology.
Michael previously served as the Chief Technology Officer at Divergent Technologies where he co-developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System. He was the first Chief Engineer of AM at Honeywell Aerospace and held various technology leadership roles at GE Aviation. He has leveraged various advanced manufacturing and material technologies for novel product developments that were successfully delivered into full series production, including numerous FAA-certified and safety-critical components. These include the first metal AM turbine engine heat exchangers and safety-critical automotive chassis and suspension structures. Michael earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and later earned his Master of Engineering from Univ. of Wisconsin – Madison. He is one of the authors of Additive Manufacturing Change Management: Best Practices and is a prolific inventor and innovator with 250+ patent applications for product and process technologies granted or pending.
