National Research Council Canada
Siyu studied physics engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal where he conducted a project on plasmonic nanomaterials for biomedical applications and earned his master degree. After graduation, he performed research projects on Ti-6Al-4V powder recycling and quantitative evaluation of surface oxidation. He joined National Research Council Canada (Aluminum Technology Center) in 2018 to work on material characterization and image analysis for aluminum alloys. Since 2019, he has been responsible in multiple projects for the development of automated digital image processing and microstructural feature extraction powered by machine-learning, including microstructures of cold spray additive manufacturing samples.
