Mainstage Session Description:

Carolyn Seepersad and Sheku Kamara will moderate this discussion about widespread adoption of additive manufacturing (AM) for functional and end-use parts requires fabrication of high-quality parts repeatably and reproducibly.  To meet this challenge, the industry has made significant progress in ex-situ characterization, in-situ process monitoring, best practices for product and process design, and formalization of standards and requirements.  This panel of leading AM industry experts will discuss some notable examples of successful AM of end-use parts and outline some of the enabling strategies and the significant remaining challenges associated with more widespread use of AM for functional parts.
