Please be aware that there is a significant backlog in obtaining United States Visa Interviews at most Embassies and Consulates. You are encouraged to start your application process early and well in advance of your travel dates.
*To determine whether you will need a U.S. Travel visa, visit the U.S. State Department website.
*Check to see if you are from a country in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Each traveler must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to boarding a U.S. bound air or sea carrier.
Letters of Invitations:
Letters of invitation will not be issued. From the U.S. State Department website: “Visa applicants must qualify on the basis of the applicant's residence and ties abroad, rather than assurances from U.S. family and friends. A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a visitor visa. If you choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember it is not one of the factors used in determining whether to issue or deny the visa.
