Brent Wright is an ABC-certified prosthetist and a BOC-certified orthotist for Eastpoint Prosthetics and Orthotics in Kinston, North Carolina. He has been in the field since he started as a technician at age 16. He is pushing the boundaries in additive manufacturing for the field of prosthetics and orthotics. He uses a combination of art, science, and software to create 3D printed devices that are lighter and more comfortable for patients. Brent graduated Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, with a degree in healthcare management and pursued his certification in prosthetics at California State University. He fulfilled his residency requirements in Charlotte, NC, where he took an interest in prosthetics, wound care management and orthoses for pediatrics. Brent lives in Raleigh, NC, with his wife, Meredith, and his three children, Connor, Carson and Kaitlyn. The Wright family also started LifeNabled which is a charity that provides prostheses and training for the developing world.
