Donald Godfrey is employed with Nikon-SLM-Solutions as the Global Director of Business Development for Aviation and Defense. He is a globally recognized authority on additive manufacturing technology, and processes. Donald has been awarded over 70 patents in the United States and Europe related to additive manufacturing. He is internationally recognized as a leading expert in the field of Additive Manufacturing and has spoken at numerous public forums on the topic of 3-D printing across India, The United States, Australia and Europe. Donald spent 14 years at Honeywell Aerospace, and was recognized as the main contributor in the incorporation of metal printing. He incorporated additive manufacturing technology for Honeywell locations ranging from Europe, Asia, and North America, as well as developing the global supply chain. Before working at Honeywell, Donald was employed for 11 years at Rolls Royce Aerospace where he was an engineering manager. Donald is passionate about education, and a co-author of Additive Manufacturing of Metals: The Technology, Materials, Design and Production. The book has been successfully integrated into engineering schools across North America.
