Tobias Hehn is seeking his Ph.D. at the University of Bundeswehr Munich while working at the 3D printing Center of the Bundeswehr Research Institute for Materials, Fuels, and Lubricants. With a Diplom degree in Mechanical Engineering, he focuses on researching 3D printing processes of additively manufactured electronics. He employs Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulations of the printing process to investigate the printing process on a micrometer and microsecond scale. The high dimensional parameter space is analyzed using Machine Learning methods with an additional Active Learning approach to reduce the number of simulations while maintaining a valid interpretation of the parameters.
