Victoria Sears is a Biomedical Engineer within Mayo Clinic’s Anatomic Modeling Unit (AMU) in the Department of Radiology. In this role, she develops innovative and unique medical solutions to clinical challenges utilizing additive manufacturing capabilities. As part of the clinical care team, she collaborates with physicians, radiologists, and technicians to create accurate 3D printed anatomic models and patient-specific osteotomy guides. Victoria is the AMU’s lead of virtually planning cranio-maxillofacial (CMF) surgeries. Apart from her current role, she has supported and contributed to the medical additive manufacturing community for five years, helping with educational documents, professional conferences, and peer-reviewed papers. Victoria holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and a Master of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Michigan, where her graduate thesis was centered around developing a bioink for 3D printing.
