Richard Huff is the Business Development Manager for ASTM International’s Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence, responsible for managing and expanding strategic and collaborative partnerships, increasing industry engagement through a consortium initiative, and growing the ASTM certifications and advisory services business. Prior to ASTM, he spent nearly four years at GE Additive where he was the Applications Director for the Binder Jet technology, working with customers to identify innovative applications, quantify the business case and create development plans to successfully implement Binder Jet technology into their business. Previously, Richard spent 20 years at Caterpillar Inc. leading teams focused on Materials and Manufacturing Process Simulation and development of Advanced Materials and Processes, including leading the program to transition Binder Jet AM technology from research to production with the launch of the Cat® MicroFoundry for “Additive Enabled” rapid production of low volume castings. Richard holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
