Nicole Wake, PhD is the Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs for the Ohio Valley region at GE Healthcare. In this role, Dr. Wake is focused on elevating GE Healthcare innovation and research with key opinion leaders and collaborators across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. Dr. Wake is also an Adjunct Instructor of Radiology at NYU Langone Health, and she was most recently the Director of the 3D Imaging Lab at Montefiore Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Wake's research is focused on creating 3D images from radiological imaging data. Specifically, she has coupled MRI data with a range of 3D printing, augmented reality, and virtual reality technologies to create individualized anatomic models for pre-operative planning. She is using these advanced imaging methods to guide clinical care and is investigating the impact that these models can make in clinical care. Dr. Wake is currently the Vice Chair of the RSNA 3D Printing SIG, and she is actively involved in the North American reimbursement efforts for 3D printing in hospitals. She is the author of numerous high-impact publications evaluating 3D printing in medicine, the editor of a book titled 3D Printing for the Radiologist, and an Associate Editor for the 3D Printing in Medicine journal.
